Trim hockey is a fun way to get acquainted with the sport of hockey. Trim hockey is intended for beginners and advanced hockey players and offers parents, for example, the opportunity to get to know the game. In addition, enthusiasts have the opportunity to participate in the trim competition, to offer ladies and gentlemen, with a wide range of ages, hockey levels and physical condition, the opportunity to be involved in the sport of hockey without obligation and in a pleasant way, without attendance obligations. Often these are parents of children who are already members of the association, but also former players who would like to hit a ball now and then, without competition obligations in the weekend. At the end of the season we conclude with the pannen competition.
Trim hockey takes place at HCY on Monday evenings and Thursday evenings. Training takes place from 21:00 to 22:30, after which you can cool down at the bar if desired. The training sessions are provided by experienced trainers. During the training, attention is paid to fitness, technique/ball skills and tactics. Finally, we play a game among ourselves. During the training, each other's hockey level is taken into account.
The training continues in principle throughout the season, except for the 6 weeks in the summer school holidays and a few weeks in the winter. But in practice it turns out that even those weeks there is enough interest to continue the training. This is then organised by the group itself. When the fields are frozen or other weather conditions make the field unplayable, hockey cannot be played. In these cases, a replacement sports activity is often devised.
At the moment HCY participates with 6 teams in the Haaglanden trim competition. With Trimhockey the normal rules of the hockey association (KNHB) apply. The only exception is that we play mixed, with 5 men and women. The ball may not come above the knee in the field. Additional agreements may sometimes be made between each other regarding the rules.
To participate as a trimmer in three trial trainings, you can register without obligation on the website. You will then become a trial member at HCY.
After a maximum of 3 training sessions you decide whether you want to become a member, by sending a message to [email protected] or [email protected].
