Commissioner of the day

Commissioner of the day

Every Saturday and Sunday when matches are played, our clubhouse is a busy place. On Saturdays, the match table is manned to point everyone to the right field. In addition to all these contributions, there is also a commissioner of the day on every match day. This is the person who opens the accommodation, together with the bar commissioner, who keeps an overview of the entire course of the match day, who steps in where necessary and closes everything again at the end of the day.

Practical tasks such as ensuring that the flags are hanging (properly), the toilet rolls are replenished and that there is no rubbish on the field at the end of the day, are alternated with assessing whether the fields are playable and answering all kinds of questions. No two days are the same.

We are always looking for enthusiastic members and parents of members who want to be commissioner of the day once per season. All instructions are described. Further explanation is of course available and if you want, you can get a personal course 'raising flags'. You can register at: [email protected].
